About NABSW
Founded in 1968 during the Civil Rights Movement, NABSW has been at the forefront of advocating for social justice, racial equity, and the well-being of Black communities. Our association was born out of a necessity to address the systemic issues and social injustices that affect people of African ancestry. Over the decades, NABSW has grown into a robust network of professionals dedicated to improving social work practices and delivering services that reflect the Black experience.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life and empower people of African ancestry through advocacy, human services, and research. We are proud to support our members in their professional growth and provide a platform for impactful community engagement.
